Situated on ninety pristine acres just outside the city limits of Richmond, Virginia, is a gated community of active residents who are served by a caring staff of dedicated professionals. The primary mission of the Home is to enhance the retirement life of Virginia Masons and their families by providing a quality Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) or necessary in-home assistance and care through the Outreach Program.

[Music] hi I'm Jim Cole I'm the chief executive officer the Masonic home of Virginia located just outside the city of Richmond we are considered one of the prominent and high-quality care facilities among the retirement communities in the Greater Richmond area in our community we have several different levels of care for which we can provide our residents we have independently of English is in the cottages and in our apartments we also have assisted living levels of care we also have a skilled nursing facility for those who would require higher levels of care here in our community we have outstanding facilities we have a fitness center which was opened a couple of years ago which provides exercise and fitness opportunities for our residents we also have a woodshop which provides opportunities for those who residents who may be interested in that sort of activity we have a wonderful dining service we're considered very high quality in the food that we serve residents seem to be very pleased we also have available a library for other residents who may have need of it and we try always to keep our facilities and top-notch condition in fact we're well known for the beauty of our campus and of our facilities one of the most important aspects of any retirement community is whether the staff are closely involved and integrated into the community they are the reason we provide quality care because we have these strong relationships between our staff and our residents it provides a very unique community and it really becomes almost a family-like atmosphere if you feel like you've been treated like family like with the brothers and then administrators they're very nice to you there's no doubt about the staff they're great although we are a retirement community let there be no mistake residents come here to fulfill and enjoy their life nine and a half years I thank the Lord every day for this place residents will come to me individually and will say I just wish I could have come sooner it is a place to rejoice in life and to fulfill one's life we have found this place to be one of the greatest places you could possibly be in a world if you ever hear one time you won't come back it's just a grand place to live if you are looking for a place to retire or if you're looking for a place for a loved one to retire and to be cared for for the rest of their life in a quality environment that is just like a second family to them then please don't wait don't hesitate contact us today because they can come you can come your relatives can come and enjoy a wonderful lifestyle

the Masonic home is really a very nice place to live if there are lots of opportunities to be outdoors and there's plenty of room to walk or write a bike or just anything you want coming to the home has been a great asset and a boost to my morale to be able to come to a place that I could exercise on my bike and and know that I was in a safe environment I love being over there in the garden and that that is my focus spring summer and fall I like fresh vegetables so I grow them myself they're eight or nine of us that have plots but there are so many more around campus that have the raised beds which makes it so so convenient for those whether they're in a walker or wheelchair and it gives them an opportunity to be able to grow a few things and enjoy getting their hands in the dirt and I just would recommend it highly recommend that that everybody who who can walk and move about exercise because it lends itself to sense the benefits of good health
