skyline's the only life care community in the greater Seattle area and what that represents for our residents is a safety net a care that's there for life's what-ifs ideally our residents move in for independent living but they plan for the future and that plan is the life care plan and what comes with the life care plan is a predictable cost moving forward that is unique to Skyline and that's unique within the greater Seattle area the continuing care contract at Skyline allows our residents a vast level of different services throughout the continuum independent living assisted living memory support and our rehab team different care services amenities throughout their lifetime at Skyline from my perspective as a physician caring for patients with a life care contract is really helpful in that I am able to care for them in all different environments in skyline and if they for example need a period of time in our health center or a respite stay in our assisted living then I can make that recommendation and I can just follow them seamlessly from their apartment to whatever setting is going to be most appropriate for them at that time I find that when they have the life care contract that really gives them an additional peace of mind that they are able to move seamlessly between our different levels of care The Life Care Planet skyline is a way to have a long term plan but it's more comprehensive it's comprehensive in the sense it tells you where the care is going to come from by who the care is going to be provided and the quality of the care and most importantly at a predictable cost so the life care plan is very appealing to residents and often a main criteria for choosing our community over others
