Anita’s Gardens is locally owned and operated. Each of our communities has active owner involvement to ensure that your loved ones care needs are being met. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our residents who need assistance with their physical and/or memory care needs in a safe, comfortable environment.
Anita’s Gardens offers two locations for families of Ozaukee county to choose from. Located in the charming communities of Grafton and Port Washington Wisconsin, we have a location close to you to serve those who need the care of an assisted living community.
“It wasn’t until our loved ones fell ill that we realized there was a real need for change in the way senior adults are cared for,” states Kathy Mahoney, co-owner and Administrator of Anita’s Gardens. The way we take care of people is simple, we treat our residents like family and with the utmost dignity. “These are intelligent people with stories,” states Bridgette Benavides, co-owner and Administrator of Anita’s Gardens. We love having the opportunity to serve those that need our care and support.
Anita Benavides is the mother of owner Bridgette and best friend of owner Kathy. Anita was a caregiver for many years in Milwaukee and was the inspiration for the business. “She was a wonderful woman, a devoted mother of 10, and always put the needs of others before her own,” said Bridgette. Her spirit lives in our hearts and our communities are her legacy.
Anita’s Gardens is dedicated to serving the needs of our residents and we pride ourselves on the quality care we provide to support the physical, emotional, and memory care needs of those within our care.
Our Services Include:
- Staff RN Nurse Manager who coordinates plan of care with the resident, family and physician
- Complex health management including insulin dependent diabetes, catheter care and wound care needs
- Medication management and administration
- Assistance with personal care needs
- Bathing assistance
- Incontinence care
- Laundry – personal clothing, linens and towels
- Housekeeping services
- Freshly prepared meals and snacks
- Daily planned activities and regular community outings
- Transportation coordination to medical appointments
Our staff are carefully selected and well trained to meet our high standards of quality care. All care staff are certified caregivers and receive ongoing training and education monthly. We are devoted to providing our residents with a warm, caring community filled with stimulating activities. At Anita’s Gardens, we provide all the comforts of home and something more…real people providing exceptional care.
Anita’s Gardens of Grafton opened in February 2014 and is conveniently located in the heart of Grafton. Our community offers large, private rooms with private baths that include walk in showers. There are large, bright common areas where our residents participate in stimulating community activities and comfortable places to simply sit back and relax.
