Muskego Health Care Center is an excellent assisted living community in Muskego, Wisconsin. It is within fetching Waukesha County which is part of the Badger State.

Family owned and operated since 1962 Muskego Health Care Center offers two levels of care in one location. Our mission is to provide quality care in a home-like atmosphere by serving the needs of our residents and their families.

Our privately owned facility offers 24 hour skilled nursing care, rehabilitation services and assisted living in a secure, loving environment. A team of qualified professionals is waiting to care for your family member.

A team of professional RN's, LPN's and Certified Nursing Assistants provide personalized care to our residents.

Our full-time Social Worker is licensed by the State of Wisconsin and is experienced in providing services to residents and their families. Our clients receive individualized assistance in the following areas:

• Choosing appropriate placement for a loved one
• Questions regarding cost of care
• Information about the medical and social needs of your resident
• Helping families adjust during the transition from community to long term care or assisted living.
• Assistance with Medicare, Medicaid, and Family Care applications
• Resident's Rights concerns
• Power of Attorney for Health Care and Guardianship questions
• Available community resources
• Discharge back to the community when appropriate

The Muskego Health Care Center takes pride in providing a clean, safe environment.

Our professional housekeeping staff is on duty seven days a week to maintain a clean and home-like atmosphere for all of our residents and employees.

Our in-house laundry provides personal and professional care for resident's clothing, bed linens, towels and table linens.

All of these services are performed under strict State and Federal regulations to ensure cleanliness and prevent infection and disease.

Beauty/Barber Services
Hair appointments can be scheduled by filling out a request form at the nurses' station. All appointments are prepaid and checks must be made out to the beautician or barber. A lock box is provided for your requests. The beautician is available every Friday. Men's haircuts are offered every 6 weeks.

Clothing
Families are required to label all resident personal clothing.

Laundry
Laundry is done every day except Sunday. We encourage families to let us take care of resident's personal laundry. If you choose to provide this service for your loved one, we ask that laundry be picked up daily.

Medications and Hygiene Products
Please do not bring prescription or over-the-counter medications into the facility. State regulations require that all medications be provided through our pharmacy.

Personal hygiene products such as aerosol sprays and body powders are not allowed because of their potential impact on the cardiac or respiratory status of elderly individuals.

Cleaning agents, plant care products and any other items that carry a warning such as "Keep out of the reach of children," are not permitted in the facility.

Newspapers
Arrangements for newspaper delivery must be made directly with the circulation department of that publication.

Resident Rooms
We encourage residents to personalize their rooms with favorite pictures, photos and personal items. The maintenance department will assist you with hanging pictures. Please do not bring in valuable or very fragile items.

Microwave ovens, refrigerators, heating pads, electrical appliances and extension cords are prohibited. 

Sign-out
All residents must sign out at the nurses' station when leaving the facility. Please provide advanced notice if you will be absent during mealtimes or medication pass.

Telephone
Residents who wish to have a private telephone may contract with AT&T or Time Warner for those services. Families will also need to provide the phone.

Television
Muskego Health Care Center provides television and basic cable services for all residents. Wireless internet is also available.

Visiting
We welcome your visits at any time. Parking is available in the front of the building near the main entrance. Please feel free to use the lounge areas and dining rooms for your visits.
