The Villa at Pleasant Hills

The Villa at Pleasant Hills is a residential care facility for the elderly licensed by the State of California Dept. of Social Services. We proudly offer assisted living, board and care for six senior residents in the beautiful City of Brea in Orange County, California.

Our organization evolved and was renamed in 2012 as The Villa at Pleasant Hills, we fondly call our home as "The Villa". The Villa offers a safe, supportive, stimulating, comfortable residential environment for seniors 60+ and older who can no longer live safely at home or need care that family can't easily provide. In the beginning, we serve a fairly healthy, independent group of seniors. More recently, we serve those with advancing symptoms of dementia and early stages of Alzheimer's.

With a capacity for only 6 residents, The Villa at Pleasant Hills is small enough to ensure individualized care, 24/7, but adequate enough to offer your loved one a variety of senior companions. We truly offer a family home environment. The staff has over 14 years collective experience at The Villa at Pleasant Hills! The lack of staff turnover means continuity of care, and staff familiarity with all residents so they can promptly spot any changes and alert family and medical professionals.

Our Administrators live not too distant from The Villa. This means they can almost instantly provide expert back-up assistance to on-duty staff 24/7 in any emergency. That fact alone motivates many families to seriously consider The Villa at Pleasant Hills as their premier home of choice for aging moms and dads. Other home care facilities are ran and operated by hired house managers, at The Villa at Pleasant Hills you will consistently see our administrators doing the very care themselves.

Many Dementia patients develop a tendency to explore their surroundings and wander, precariously. The Villa at Pleasant Hills beautiful gardens, covered patios and activity areas will be staffed and monitored by our caregivers once residents choose to visit and enjoy those areas.

Residents never go outside without supervision, and staff know the location of our residents at all times. Some of our residents have come to The Villa at Pleasant Hills after bad experiences with wandering at larger residential care homes.

The Villa at Pleasant Hills is based on the belief that our residents' needs and care are of the utmost importance, it should be exceptional and unwavering. Their safety, comfort, security and continued health will be uncompromised. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from referrals and word of mouth from our very satisfied residents and their respective families.

Research shows that lack of mental and physical stimulation, and lack of social companionship, can accelerate the progression of Alzheimer's disease and other dementia's. We offer a full range of physically, mentally and socially stimulating activities daily. We offer CHOICE as much as possible so the individual preferences and needs of residents get priority.
