welcome to freedom village a continuing care retirement community in beautiful Lake Forest California offering independent living assisted living and skilled nursing my first acquaintance with freedom village happened a long time ago when freedom village was brand-new and my father-in-law moved here and he lived here for 15 years so during that time I've been ado many many times and learned all about the place and the management and the staff and how well he was treated and so when it came time for us to think about it we knew this was a place for us freedom village is a continuing care retirement community and we provide a lifetime guarantee of care for our residents our management philosophy is simple put the residents first they love the food I have to say my mother does not miss cooking after all those years I hope I don't have to cook when I'm in my eighties I hope I can come to a place like this there are so many many things to do I start out in the morning with an exercise class which we have five days a week we have wine and hors d'oeuvres and wonderful entertainment and it's just a lot of fun it's a cruise-ship atmosphere I feel like now they've finally retired even though they're in their 80s I feel before this they've had to take care of their home their daily activities were just you know keeping up the big house they were living in I no longer fix things I just enjoy things we are debt-free at freedom village this allows us to keep our annual monthly service fee increases low our guarantee of care which is in writing states that no matter what happens to you physically or financially freedom village will be your home it has given me a sense of comfort not being concerned about what my future will hold but I would say that the thing that makes it most special is a staff freedom village has over 200 dedicated staff members who provide outstanding care and services to more than 400 residents who call freedom village home permanence is very important to our community over 50 staff members have been with us 15 years or more our ownership and our management has not changed since we opened in 1987 you do get that sense of family that sense of friendship that friendly environment that cohesiveness that we have within our team I think is something very special both the staff and the residents that we've met are just like friends we've known for a long time we thought it was going to be either too soon or too late and we thought we better err on too soon because we wanted to have some time to have fun so it came too soon and we enjoyed it ever since and loved it and it's a warm feeling it's a very comforting feeling you know we're fine I think we're coming home we invite you to visit us soon and experience why our residents say freedom village is a place to live with the freedom to thrive you
