you I can't tell you the pleasure we have had living here it's like being on a cruise ship we keep saying this is like living in a resort on a scale of one to ten I would say that our experience has been a 12 I felt coming here was extending the enjoyment of my life enormous ly living alone my life would be closing down a little bit instead of opening up and broadening which it has done here I feel like Tina again when I go by the mirror maybe I it isn't 18 the inside yes I had actually looked at six different senior communities most of them were high-rises and I was not going to settle for that the place itself is just beautiful a lot of effort has been put into the aesthetics sometimes I walk through the clubhouse and I say I never imagined I could have lived in a place as beautiful as this this is 65 acres of absolutely beautiful grounds maintained perfectly the beauty is everywhere we downsized our house but we enlarged our life there's so much going on here we have so many places to go in so many things to do they've got everything here that you could possibly want from the library to the swimming pool the fitness room the cutting course out there the bocce courts there's plenty of walking trails there's biking trails entertaining is so easy if you want to play card to say I'll meet you in the card room if you want to have dinner we'll meet you at dinner everything is done for you and you're just here to relax and enjoy yourself I don't think I've ever been as spoiled or as carefree in my life as I've been since I've been here there's such an interesting mix of people here than the stories that people can tell and the lives that they have lived up to this point and what's going to go on from now on it's incredible I wouldn't have been expanding my social venue I would have been limiting it at this time and the expansion has been absolutely fabulous one of the beauties of coming and being here is that I don't have to do any more gardening work I don't have to even do housekeeping because that's all included in the amenities here I don't have to take care of a house anymore and all that goes with it I just didn't want to fool with that anymore I'm so glad that I don't have to get up on the roof and clean the gutters anymore Carol was concerned about my falling off a ladder or falling off the roof I've been very happy to see that it has really cut down the number of bills I pay each month since all the utilities all those things are included it's funny because I go to my bell box and I think oh no bills you know it's just really nice we were given a general price range of what the monthly cost would be and I I assumed in in my thinking oh it'll be a little more than that and it hasn't been having the option for having a villa is good and everything is doable to make it your own we had the opportunity to change it according to our style we have a lovely dining area the kitchen is bright and cheerful the master bedroom has a huge window so the light in there is lovely to me it just makes the house our home it's our home we have three bedrooms one is my husband's office one is my room two baths and kitchen I don't use a kitchen pretty much because the food here is so wonderful the food is sensational the desserts and everything are all home made by a pastry chef and they are out of this world lots of choices lots of courses we have enough appetizers and we're having salads and entrees and dessert every night our family just loves to come visit us here they love the dining room even the young grandson does we have something here that's very special it's a facility on campus that we can use for rehabilitation recovery from an injury I consider myself to be a quite a fit person and I'd like to exercise but one day and I caught my foot and fell and broke my hip the care that I received was just superior to anything I ever could have gotten had I been at home and I hate to think what my life would have been like if I had been in my home isolated in the hills with no assistance other than work my poor husband who could be stuck with taking care of me this is just a great place to be you really got to think of the future in the future is are you doing your job to take care of the one you love it gives me great peace of mind know that if something happens to me she's taken care of this is a person I care about that's the reason I did not want this to be something that was decided for me and I find that there's a lot of satisfaction in that knowing that I'm still very much in control of my own future we got to thinking of what's going to happen when we get older who's going to take care of us we didn't want to put this on our children when we came here we gave each other a big gift and together we gave a gift to our children that is the peace of mind that as we age we're taking care of we have safety and that we have health services I wish I'd done it earlier if this had been here when I was sick - - I would have moved here come now and enjoy life this is a wonderful way to live don't wait come now come early my decision to come was the best thing I did for myself we're now in a living happily ever after stage and we're doing it right at the right place and that is a wonderful wonderful thing to have happen to you

I think our children were very happy I think they made a big sigh so that's a good idea another bloomer because you know whether they they did not dump wolf they realize hey the parents are going to get older be the parents are gonna get sake and see they all have their own very demanding lives that they have to take care of so I think more than happy they probably have been relieved to say that wow there is some very possible solution to what's likely to happen anyway my children are very grateful that I've been proactive about this that I have been making these decisions with not only the fact that i'll be more comfortable but that they will be comfortable too and then I really was surprised and pleased to see that there will be funds left when I no longer need a place to live they're at least a minimum of 75 per cent of my investment will be kept for my children because I would love to think I could leave them something that I'm not going to use it all up during my lifetime and so I am thinking of their future as well as my own when I first told my oldest son that I was moving to a beautiful area like this i thought i had prepared him for the fact it was going to be very desirable afterwards some after i would stop talking I he turned to his wife and said Sydney mom's moving into an old folks home but by that time I had also given them the web link and Cindy looked on the internet and she said no your mom is moving to a resort and so on they changed their minds about that our children are really relieved I believe that they don't have to figure in in making decisions later as to how to take care of mom and dad that we have everything planned out taken care of I think the thing that makes me most enthusiastic about stone ridge creek is I consider moving there a gift to ourselves and then a gift to our two sons we don't want our children to have to worry about us and so that's one of the reasons why we feel it's a good decision to move to stoneridge creek and i think that's one of the things with the quality of life that puts everybody a piece of mind we enjoy a quality of life and our sons and and grand up my granddaughter's and bottomless know that we're just being taken care of and so it's really great
