Harbor House is a wonderful assisted living community in Dunnellon, Florida. It is within bright and cheery Marion County which is part of the Sunshine State.

At Harbor House, our focus is supporting our residents’ independence and overall wellness.
The care that each resident receives at Harbor House is unique to his or her needs. Each resident’s activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, and hygiene, are assessed upon move-in and regularly throughout their stay. We work with the resident, family members, and health practitioners to create the right plan of care for each person.
Care-related services include, but are not limited to:
- Care staff, including a licensed nurse, at facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Personal care assistance with activities of daily living
- Medication assistance and administration
- Mobility assistance
- Continence maintenance
- On-site visits from the medical physician and/or nurse practitioner, dentist, podiatrist, home health, physical therapist, and more.
Residents in short-term respite care receive all of the amenities and care in our assisted living or memory care options, but for a shorter, predetermined length of stay. Respite care is for loved ones who may need a little help after a hospital or rehab stay, or when caregivers plan a family vacation or just need some time to relax and recharge. We are here for you.
Tell us what you love to do! Our Life Enrichment program schedules many activities and local outings. Do you like crafts, cooking clubs, education classes, special events, and celebrations? We also have outings to the beach, mystery rides, parks, shopping, and restaurants. Programming at Harbor House keeps us vibrant and in touch with our surrounding community.
You’ll find our spirited program encourages residents to lead fulfilling and active lives.
The Harbor House Life Enrichment director spends time getting to know residents. She meets with new residents to find out what their interests are and what they enjoy doing most. Monthly events may vary based on residents’ interests and participation.
Join us for three meals a day, plus snacks! The dining experience is a great way to meet with friends and enjoy our friendly staff. Each meal is home-cooked and served in our dining room. Residents order off the menu, and meals are cooked to order. Residents have a choice of meals, and we are very accommodating to individual tastes, preferences, and food allergies.
Our apartments are large and sunny, with beautiful views of our outdoor gardens. Interiors are painted in tasteful neutral colors, and include private bathrooms, walk-in showers, kitchenettes with refrigerators, and personal heating and cooling. With both private and semi-private apartments, we are an affordable choice for all seniors.
