we've been married for 61 years I came home from overseas and went over near muscatine to visit a friend that I had been overseas with and he and his fiance were fixing to go out and had arranged a blind date well actually went to little town beside i was City Tiffin toughen yeah we went dancing on our first date about the last time I ever danced with him because he was always on the bandstand didn't she without realizing it thought it would be a good idea to be married to a musician until we got into it I had no idea he was just cute and sang beautifully and I thought well this is great no I was a little farm girl from Iowa and it just looked exciting and actually his teaching kept him away more than his plane eventually you might be in the same house listening he had a lot of night rehearsals you know with the musicals and all that stuff had a lot a lot of night rehearsals and I was still a jobbing news they still playing jobs on weekend so the ep's were kind of busy for him but I was busy with my stuff so I taught a couple three years I taught first grade through adult and college master's degree consecutively without missing a grade it was it was a real smorgasbord I loved it i retired in 88 but he still had the corral he still top private voice students at home and I just didn't have any jobs and he wasn't playing jobs oh my across did active for quite a few years after he retired so he had that boy when I continued to teach voice leading up to New all day oh came from a 911 oh I didn't know where I was I was laying on the floor under the piano trying to stack music for some reason I think he has always felt very well taken care of and respected and when we found out about the pub that was really something that appealed to him and then Nielsen actually brought it to our attention because he was over there I didn't know it was even here for a long time and so we would come and times and sit and listen and it was it was invigorating for him at the time that first time we came down here Lynn Nielsen was playing the piano time and I gradually hinged my way over closer to the keyboard and it just seems so logical but it went from me being like you know to singing the last eight bars of whatever song winless play I think it was gone but I could see that he felt like I keep saying invigorated you know he wasn't more like this was more like this it wasn't in that wheelchair kind of out of it anymore he was more back to being less Hale again I don't think you can get a better experience they're not pushy any pushing I get comes from Colleen that was the way our first date started
