to thee I'll return overburdened with care the hearts dearest solace will smile on me there no more from that cottage again will i roam be it ever so humble there's no place like home by home and i have no desire another one the other place i just want to stay elim care is the parent organization of newton village which opened its doors in 2003 to serve Newton and Jasper counties older adults with independent living apartments assisted living and memory care services Elam care is a non-profit faith-based organization and a recognized industry leader in senior adult housing and health care since nineteen twenty-seven elem care continues to expand with locations in Iowa Minnesota and North Dakota leaving the family home is one of the most difficult decisions of family makes three I knew that I couldn't do everything that I was going to have to do so that he could be more mobile and myself I was going to have to have help the residents appreciate the staff and say they make the difference with the transition and lifestyle of comfort spiritual support and enjoyment and the minute we walked in Newton village we just felt the warmth and the friendliness that we hadn't felt with the others it's a social network here which really is important because when he was home you know by himself is just the TV he's met a lot of new people and gone on trips and things that he probably wouldn't have done if he would have stayed at home so we're very blessed Newton villages heritage and legacy is a place for friends and family with excellence in compassionate care the staff takes pride in serving and providing special care in the warmth of family values with a top priority and emphasis on spiritual care a chaplain is part of the management team to lend support to the residents on a daily basis with the focus on independent lifestyle at Newton village the normal aging process presents everyone with challenges to reduce some of the pressure from these challenges today and in the future Newton village is adding the final building block for continuum of care with a skilled care and rehabilitation center the residents will no longer need to move and leave family members friends and staff for their advanced care needs which can be frightening and confusing to many as older you get you don't look forward to a change we need a nursing home care because as long as the both of us are still living if one of us had to go into the nursing home the other one would still be in the same location we would not have to move and we would have a continuing relation in the advanced nursing care facility eliminates the fear of moving to a new place without friends and adjusting to a new support staff this transition will be smooth with dignity and comfort in a familiar setting the trauma of life changes will be minimized with a sense of belonging versus the emotional challenges a move to a new facility may cause transitions are not always easy from going from the independent living they have here to the assisted living and then on to the nursing home if need be the family is always connected with the people here and that makes such such difference familiar faces familiar places I just don't get this layout exactly where well it's going to come right off of this building here which is our assisted living of course okay it's going to be the same width it's going to come out it'll come out about straight north and then it will northeast if you can follow this tree line along through here it will angle to the northeast it will not completely enclose the courtyard but almost a little over 20,000 square feet will enhance that courtyard in there also in a week 24 beds including a chapel at a physical therapy department this expansion ensures the residents will not need to leave their Newton village home they have a full continuum of care from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care or rehabilitation services after moving to the Newton village Marge Emerson's husband needed advanced nursing services this required him to move and live away from his wife and friends this made it very difficult on him and Marge I think he would have been more satisfied a beautiful new chapel is included in the construction to enhance the spiritual needs of the tenants with a state-of-the-art sound system to ensure everyone can hear the good news of God providing an environment where people can nurture their relationship with God's love is a very important part of the Newton village Newton village anticipates breaking ground in early spring of 2013 with construction taking approximately 12 months the skilled nursing care and rehab center with the chapel is a 3.3 million dollar investment for Newton village we are asking for a small portion of this to come from gifts and donations and we need your help we need to raise dollars your gift and donation will help build and furnish the chapel and other common areas to ensure the tenants have full continuum of care with spiritual support for the future the capital campaign accepts gifts in cash stock or real estate and you can designate your gift in honor or memory of a loved one gifts of dollars or more will be recognized on the donor caring tree a number of naming opportunities are available with the chapel dining room therapy room spa and tenant rooms please discuss the
