River's Bend is a Continuing Care Retirement Community located near Barkley Lake in Kuttawa, Kentucky. As a CCRC, we are able to provide a broad range of services tailored to meet a variety of healthcare needs. From long term care services to short term respite stays, River’s Bend can offer an option to assist most.
River’s Bend Retirement Community is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization offering long term care and related services. The company operates independently with respect to daily operations, delivery of patient care, and the pursuit of its mission - to provide quality services in the most cost effective manner for the residents, and to provide a stimulating, empowering workplace for our employees.
To that end we strive to:

The Assisted Living Program at River's Bend provides residents all the conveniences and comfort of their own apartment with the added security of 24-hour assistance and supervision.
Assisted Living provides care for residents who need daily assistance, but do not require the intensive level of care offered by a skilled nursing facility. Assisted Living encourages residents to retain their independence while receiving daily assistance with day-to-day tasks. Our staff can provide help with dressing, bathing, personal grooming, dining, and medication monitoring. This level of care provides a special combination of residential housing and personalized support services and care, while maintaining the dignity of residential living.
Our Assisted Living apartments are private, comfortable, and our community areas are tastefully appointed. We offer three delicious restaurant-style meals daily, an activity program with a variety of social, educational, and community programs, a caring and responsive staff with 24/7 availability, and emergency call systems in every apartment.
Additionally, housekeeping and laundry services are provided weekly, as well as scheduled transportation to local doctors' offices, shopping centers, and other destinations. Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, personal grooming, and medication management area also available for those who need them. For a small fee, our beauty salon and barbershop, which will help you look and feel your best, is conveniently located within the community.
River's Bend Skilled Nursing staff provides care for residents who require the services of a trained, licensed nurse or licensed therapist. An individualized plan of care is developed by a care plan team. Our skilled and experienced staff then work together to carry out those specific plans of care by providing the medical assistance our residents need.
In addition to providing licensed care, we also provide our residents a full activity schedule that allows social interaction and physical and mental stimulation. We have a Licensed Nutritionist on staff and provide three meals daily that can meet any prescribed dietary restrictions.
River's Bend Retirement Community has partnered with RehabCare to provide both INPATIENT and OUTPATIENT Rehabilitation within our facility. Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy are available to individuals in our community or to our residents who find themselves in need of rehabilitation - whether that be short or long term.
Our Therapy Room provides an environment for residents and patients to increase their mobility and strength while working on the normal activities of daily living. These areas are designed to replicate an individual's home and provide the opportunity for those recovering from injury or illness to secure the independence they need to more fully and safely function at home.
