The Glen is a Life Plan Community designed to support older adults as they strive to get the most out of life. Throughout the various levels of living we offer, we hope to provide the comforts of home in an engaging setting.
The Glen has continued to transform over the years while preserving the mission of the organization and the vision of our predecessors. The Glen Retirement System is a not-for-profit, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in South Shreveport. We have extended our services over the years to offer a multitude of living options to the senior women and men of our community, as well as support services and community outreach programs that benefit those who live beyond our campus.

the glendo opened their doors it was a let's say April of 1986 in January of 1987 I came and I was activity director for clothes now 30 years when I think back on 30 years of being an activity director and the fun events we have had along with the wonderful people involved I can't help but smile we have a walking club on mondays and dominoes on Tuesdays movie on Wednesdays grocery store round trip on Thursdays along with bingo every three [Music] 80 your bees are now behold the best part about being with the residence is that they are just sending [Music] you I like living at the Glen because of the factor that accuses the staff for this present well I love it I guess I would have to say the happiest ish way out here I love these options you have and even the activities and also i love my extended family yeah i was attracted here because of the beauty of it but I was also attracted because of the three levels of care that we have here well all of the fellowship we have available [Music] what about the ladies of the Glen [Music]

at the Glen here we have working dogs that do our dirty work they live right here on canvas stabby with the dogs a huge benefit to residence they love being around our mission is definitely to the best for our residents so that there is just another part of my mission to bridge the lives of our seniors my first time when the dogs I love every bit of it i miss my dolly he was my baby his gram he was a sweetheart the best little doll and this one reminds me of Gibsons a comfortable home just just happen develops with them is just a wonderful feeling this is their home so warm their visits they have to do all their sits and their stays and listen and don't leg and then when they get here this is home they know that they can just run and play and they get to be a dog [Applause]
