so the people here love city life as I do as we all do we brought my parents here from the west coast and we liked the fact that it was a garden like setting there was in the city close to museums the Opera nestled here in North Baltimore between Roland Park and Hampton is is key to attracting individuals and couples that are anxious to remain here in the city and we have more friends now maybe what if I'm sure if we had stayed in our house that's a marvelous thing actually we want to have people intellectually stimulated by things going on here we want people to have swimming or have a coffee bar or we're gonna have a pub where people can have a cocktail before dinner a variety of classes yoga exercise personal training these beings are shopping here that's ridiculous you could walk across the street to the rotunda to be 15 minutes away from theatres and the Meyerhoff but for the great symphonies the lyric and when people don't drive as much as they used to there's always a way to go where you want to go the experience of meeting new people has been energizing and enlightening to a lot of us a very simple thing that one can do have come over to our apartment it have drinks then you simply go downstairs [Music] metropolitan senior living right here in North Baltimore connections vibrance intellectual curiosity it's all right here at Roland Park place

this is an exciting time for Roland Park Place because we are renovating existing spaces that have served us well for the first 233 years and we're creating brand-new ones for the next generation of residents who will be seeking metropolitan senior living lifestyle well this community cannot be running in place so the world around us changes that people who will come here in time are changing things are being opened up things were kind of chopped up before we're now opening up so when you come in the front door you will be able to look all the way through the garden we are creating some awesome dining venues that we don't currently have we want to allow people to have a drink before dinner and a bistro or a pub we want to have a coffee bar where people can go any time of day and share a cup of coffee with their friends or guests from outside what will still remain is the formal dining that so many of our residents enjoy I think going to dinner having several possible venues for doing is a really nice thing they'll have patio better patio space outside the Arts and Education Center is a great new addition because many of the residents here have an intellectual curiosity spark that never seems to be satisfied a lot of wonderful professional people from the Peabody and from all over give us great music we can have live plays we can have musicians we can have lectures we can have dances we can tailor use of the space to ward the way that people want to live their lives my wife after her stroke Wilson rehab [Music] SiC leaks here but she was in regular health care where she really didn't need to be so having that now all in the second floor right next to ambulatory care and the rehab center beautiful that makes so much more sense so they put they put a lot of thought into this my view were really very much in the right track [Music]

so I feel very comfortable I know that no matter what happens to my wife or to me that we will be well taken care of because of the rehabilitation services that are offered and the long-term care services that are available right here on site it allows a resident to move in with the understanding that their needs will be met if they change over the course of their future years here I think it gives the people living here a peace of mind I think gives their children and other loved ones peace of mind that mom and dad have a plan the plan makes a lot of sense like my wife's broke came out of nowhere boom she'd never had a health problem in their life so we obviously made the right choice and she didn't have to go and be driven across to some place out in Timonium to do her PT great our staff become very familiar with the residents preferences become very aware of their needs and their wants and can anticipate them before they're asked because we have such a continuity of staff and some long tenured employees that proudly work here and enjoy their work every day there are many nurses and other people on staff who've been here 20 30 years because they have chosen to be here and the residents like that they have formed bonds with these folks that they would not want to give up that kind of stability bodes well for my future it's very reassuring for the residents and their families to know that it's here
