As we age, day-to-day activities can become more challenging. With Good Samaritan Society assisted living, our staff is available to lend aid as needed, ranging from simple reminders to help with dressing, bathing, and other essential activities. Our assisted living communities offer residents the independence they want with the support they need.
Residents live in apartments or residential units and don’t require around-the-clock nursing supervision. However, staff members are accessible 24 hours a day.
As your health changes, living on your own and needing daily assistance can be stressful on you, your family, and your friends. Assisted living communities may benefit seniors who:
- Need help with the “activities of daily living”, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and managing medicine.
- Are no longer interested in or able to keep up with lawn care, snow removal or other home maintenance tasks
- Enjoy and value the security of having neighbors and staff members close by
- Need or want help with laundry and housekeeping
- Require three nutritionally balanced meals each day
- Prefer using transportation provided by others for shopping or entertainment
- Enjoy participating in spiritual, recreational, entertainment, and wellness programming
Good Samaritan Society provides around-the-clock, personalized care and support for loved ones who need it most. Our long-term care communities are for residents who need services over a long period of time such rehabilitative care and/or skilled nursing care. These services are available 24 hour a day.
Most of our long-term care communities offer therapeutic recreation programs and other specialized therapies and services, including
- On-site licensed therapists
- Full calendar of recreational and spiritual activities
- Around-the-clock, personalized care
- Nutrition planned meals
- Barber shops / salons
- Care planning with family
We want you to know one simple fact: Our residents are each cared for in a way that benefits their own physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Whether you're planning retirement or already retired, it's important to consider how your health care needs may change as you age. An accident, illness, or other diagnosis may require assistance that many senior living communities don't provide, especially if you need long-term care. The last thing you want to do is have to move somewhere new during an already stressful time when you need more specialized care.
So, as you search for where you want to call home, why not consider a community that offers multiple levels of care at the same location? This is called a continuum of care and is offered at many Good Samaritan Society campuses. Other services we offer at certain locations include non-medical in-home services, memory care and hospice.
The Good Samaritan Society strives to provide a continuum of care, so as you grow older, you'll have comfort and peace of mind knowing you'll be taken care of no matter what level of care you need.
