A variety of services from restaurant style dining and housekeeping to a full array of social activities is available. Healthcare and professionals, including licensed nursing staff and certified home health aides, are trained, dedicated, and available to meet the needs of older adults.

Our independent and assisted living programs offer restaurant style dining, housekeeping, and a full array of social activities. Home care professionals, including licensed nursing staff and certified home health aides, are trained and dedicated to meeting the needs of older adults.

At The Wellington, we believe that all of our residents should have the freedom to exercise their independence regarding choice of care and service.

Our Assisted Living program provides residents a beautiful, spacious apartment with several services and amenities included in the monthly rent. Personal care needs are structured to allow a resident to add on services as needs change. Our onsite home health care team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our Independent Living program gives residents the freedom to enjoy a beautiful, spacious apartment home with several services and amenities included in the monthly rent. If needs change, this program allows residents to add on assisted living services while staying in their current apartment.

The Wellington’s home care staff is provided by Shepard Park Home Care, managed by StuartCo. They are available to meet the needs of our residents 24-hours a day. As a team we strive to provide the best care possible for our residents. Shepard Park Home Care is licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Minnesota Comprehensive Home Care Provider.

Life enrichment programs have been carefully planned and are coordinated by our experienced professional staff.

The Wellington’s monthly program of activities typically includes discussion sessions on current events and topical issues, exercise, bridge and other card games, entertainment, religious services, outings and special events. These activities are included in your basic services and are available for all residents.

The dining room offers chef prepared open dining from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. served restaurant style. A daily afternoon snack is provided in the atrium. We take pride in hosting wonderful special events, including parties with traditional foods and meals for holidays and other specific “theme” offerings. Guests are invited to dine with our residents for a small fee.

Our professional staff at The Wellington takes pride in creating well-balanced and nutritious meals, which are geared to our residents’ tastes and dietary needs. Residents are involved in menu planning and have the opportunity to participate in the monthly food review that makes sure we are providing a variety in menu choices and outstanding service from the dining room staff. Catering services are also available for special celebrations and events.
