Located on a 20 acre site, in the northwest part of Concordia, the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home, Lutheran Nursing Home and Good Shepherd Villages I and II provide services and accommodations to geriatric and disabled citizens. It is one of the largest continuum of care campuses in rural Missouri. The home is licensed for four distinct levels of care and is Medicare and Medicaid approved.
The philosophy and goal of the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home and the Lutheran Nursing Home is to provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment that meets the individual needs of the resident, as much as possible, and a home where the residents receive quality medical care and assistance with daily living at a reasonable cost.
These objectives are achieved through a teamwork commitment, the maximum use of the skills and abilities of all employees and volunteers who serve within our facilities. We also strongly encourage family visits and involvement.
The Lutheran Good Shepherd Home complex provides a variety of services to its residents. An Activities Director, a Social Services Director and a Registered Dietician are all on staff. The home employs Rehab Care to provide physical, occupational and speech therapy by certified personnel. Within our facility we have two chapels, one in the Skilled Nursing Area and one in the Assisted Living – Retirement Area. The Chapels are used by all denominations or congregations as represented by the residents who reside within the facility. Worship services are held numerous times each week. Additionally, we have two dining rooms and a beauty/barber shop within the complex.
