Sunnyhill Residential Care Facility is a sensational assisted living community in Festus, Missouri. It is within enticing Jefferson County which is part of the Show Me State.
Sunnyhill is a not-for-profit organization established in 1978 that provides residential support, recreation and educational opportunities for children and adults with developmental and other disabilities throughout the Greater St. Louis Area and surrounding counties.
Residential services are community based and promote a persons dreams and independence. Accessible recreation opportunities are available at our 65 acre adventure camp in Jefferson County or through our On the Road Adventures program.
Sunnyhill provides tailored residential support to people with developmental disabilities in a variety of different settings. Our residential services range from support a few hours a week to 24 hours a day.
Residential services can be delivered in a person’s natural home, in a community based home or in one of our residential facilities. All of our residential supports are provided by personnel trained in abuse and neglect, CPR/first- aid, positive behavioral supports, medication administration, nutrition and personal care.
The goals for our residential supports are: To foster independence, assist with skill acquisition and development, community participation and inclusion, development of social skills and relationships, to provide a healthy and safe environment, and help the person to participate in meaningful activities.
LIVING CENTER
A woman resides in a home with seven other women, and receive 24-hour awake supervision. The program focuses on active treatment to address each person’s assessed needs and assist them in achieving their goals.
RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY (RCF)
People reside within a home with twenty other residents and a minimum of one support staff member 24 hours a day.
The services provided are room, board, medication administration and personal care assistance with basic activities such as personal hygiene, dressing and eating.
INDEPENDENCE CENTER -ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY (ALF)
Thirty-two people reside in one of five residential buildings, sitting on 18-acres in DeSoto, MO. Staffing will include 1:4 (staff/people) up to 1:10, 24-hours/day.
The services provided include room, board, medication administration and personal care assistance with basic activities such as hygiene, dressing and eating.
