Our friendly, professional staff is dedicated to enhancing your life, bringing you joy and creating opportunities that care for your whole person - body, mind and spirit.
As we age, day-to-day activities can become more challenging. With Good Samaritan Society assisted living, our staff is available to lend aid as needed, ranging from simple reminders to help with dressing, bathing, and other essential activities. Our assisted living communities offer residents the independence they want with the support they need.
Residents live in apartments or residential units and don’t require around-the-clock nursing supervision. However, staff members are accessible 24 hours a day.
As your health changes, living on your own and needing daily assistance can be stressful on you, your family, and your friends. Assisted living communities may benefit seniors who:
- Need help with the “activities of daily living”, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and managing medicine.
- Are no longer interested in or able to keep up with lawn care, snow removal or other home maintenance tasks
- Enjoy and value the security of having neighbors and staff members close by
- Need or want help with laundry and housekeeping
- Require three nutritionally balanced meals each day
- Prefer using transportation provided by others for shopping or entertainment
- Enjoy participating in spiritual, recreational, entertainment, and wellness programming
Most of our long-term care communities offer therapeutic recreation programs and other specialized therapies and services, including
- On-site licensed therapists
- Full calendar of recreational and spiritual activities
- Around-the-clock, personalized care
- Nutrition planned meals
- Barber shops / salons
- Care planning with family
We want you to know one simple fact: Our residents are each cared for in a way that benefits their own physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Adult day service programs offer daytime respite services that enable primary caregivers (spouse, family, or friends) to work, run errands or have a break from their caregiving duties.
Participants can socialize and receive some health services in a stimulating and supportive environment. These adult day services are designed to help people maintain independence, strength, and function and are a cost-effective alternative to full-time long-term care.
A type of respite care, the Good Samaritan Society's Adult Day Services offer programming to help people maintain independence, strength and function through a short-term (less than 24-hour) stay. Services can include:
- exercise programs
- meals and snacks
- social activities
- mental stimulation activities
- assistance with dressing and/or grooming
- bathing
- occupational, speech or physical therapies
Adult day services programs generally operate during normal business hours, five days a week, allowing caregivers to remain in the workforce, run errands or enjoy a break during the day.
