Hillcrest Spring Residential is a splendid assisted living community in Amsterdam, New York. It is within appealing Montgomery County which is part of the Empire State.
Hillcrest Spring Residential is an assisted living community where residents thrive, and families enjoy peace of mind. It’s a community where the focus is on living with the comforts of home, enhanced with personalized care that makes sure residents can get the most out of life.
Hillcrest Spring’s assisted living community can accommodate 80 residents in either private or semi-private rooms. Each room comes equipped with a bathroom, closet, bed, dresser, night-stand, recliner/lift chair and television with cable TV. For the resident's safety, each room and bathroom has call lights if the resident needs assistance.
Residents can bring personal items or furniture from home to make their surroundings more familiar. A resident may also have a telephone in his room but hook up and monthly charges are the responsibility of the resident or the family. The facility also has two dining rooms, a large living room, a smaller sitting room, an activity room, and a library. A large sitting room on the lower level is available for special events.
There are also porches and a large patio. Residents are encouraged to gather and socialize in these common rooms.

Hillcrest Spring has its own laundry facilities. Bedding, towels, and resident clothing are laundered in-house. We do not use a laundry service. Since residents' clothing is washed together, all articles of clothing must be labeled with the resident name. Residents may want a small laundry basket for their room. Bedding and towels are provided by Hillcrest Spring. Bedding is changed weekly or more often if needed.
Hillcrest Spring is dedicated to providing a safe, healthy, happy and stimulating assisted living environment. Activities are planned daily and include crafts, cooking, games and more. Special events and outings are planned periodically. A calendar of events is distributed to residents weekly.
Residents are not expected to participate in all activities but they are encouraged to attend activities and build social relationships with other residents.
Those residents, who do not participate on a regular basis, are worked with individually by our assisted living activities staff.
