Woodland Pond is a not-for-profit, premier Continuing Care Retirement Community tailored exclusively for those 62 and older. Nestled beneath the shoulder of the breathtaking Shawangunk Ridge, Woodland Pond is an 83 acre enclave of natural beauty ripe with services, amenities, housing and long term healthcare options designed to embrace exactly where you are in your life. The community opened in September 2009, catering to a diverse group of accomplished individuals with a variety of interests and a zest for life. Just celebrating their 10th anniversary, Woodland Pond has been the home for more than 1,500 retirees and remains the only CCRC in the mid-Hudson Valley.
Inside the Mid-Hudson Valley’s premier continuing care retirement community are 177 superbly designed apartment homes and 24 private cottages, each with breathtaking views of the majestic Shawangunk Ridge. Every one of our modern residences features a contemporary kitchen, walk-in closets, an in-home emergency response system, central heating and cooling and a washer and dryer. well what we love about Woodland Pond was the fact that we were able to follow this from inception to completion at the time we were just quasi interested we had our financial adviser plus our attorney check it out gave it a five-star rating the apartment we have in Woodland Pond is the oak it is two bedrooms two baths kitchen dining area living room balcony and a dent the balcony is the greatest added feature of the whole apartment we have added a little table and chairs we sit out there very comfortably and we love to watch the Sun sets they are fantastic we have a multiple of dining options we can order from the straight menu which gives us appetizers to entrees two sides of beverage we can also order from the pub menu if we decide something a little lighter fare and along with the food the waitstaff is incomparable they're young and they are the most patient people you have ever run across they are they are phenomenal at Woodland Pond as our primary residence we are extremely happy with it we couldn't ask for anything better

coming here was it was a matter of choice of where where to go we needed to have this kind of a facility it was important for us well you know one of the other things is that we found some people who were here that we knew from our own community that's right and that really made it different now like that but I also like the people here that I have met they are really interesting people who have done wonderful things with their careers who do exciting hobbies and have a lot to say for themselves I think we're going to enjoy knowing them as our neighbors make it into town on bikes and walking there's maybe 3040 really great restaurants and the college this is a college town that's got tremendous activities associated with the fine arts and theater and music and I think that there's just no end there really is no end that's true plus the fact that we can find a church locally and enjoy that activity as well you know we looked at cottage opportunities in other communities in the New York and the Philadelphia areas some of more like two and three times the cost of this place it's true I think we made a good decision

this was an easy decision for me to make it felt totally right I took all the materials I was given to my financial advisor and she looked very carefully at everything and came to the conclusion that it was a very sensible thing to do it's it's absolutely wonderful it's a perfect place for me and people like me who don't have family necessarily in the area and just want to be in a place where when you need support it's right there well I live in this lovely cottage and one of the absolutely very special things is the view of the ridge and sky top and it's it's just sort of magical it kind of it gets under your skin and the fact that this will be my view for the rest of my life just makes me feel very happy it fulfills anybody's need for things to do and there's no need to ever be bored or wonder what am I going to do with myself today woodland pond is as far as I'm concerned the only game around here this is the game it's the best place that I know of and I don't know of anybody who lives here who feels differently from the way I feel you
