Elizabeth Scott Community is a quaint assisted living community in Maumee, Ohio. It is within exciting Lucas County which is part of the Buckeye State.
Seventy years ago, Elizabeth Scott became a pioneer in the long-term care industry when she began caring for residents in her converted farm home. Today, the Elizabeth Scott Community offers a continuum of care that includes Independent Living, two levels of Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Skilled Rehabilitation – all on a single campus.
You realize it’s time to find a new home for your elderly parent. Then, consider the Elizabeth Scott Community. We offer the comforts of home, a family atmosphere, and multiple levels of care. But which level is right for your loved one?
Our Independent Living apartments allow active seniors to simplify their lives. Independent Living eliminates many of the hassles of cooking, cleaning and home maintenance. Our studio and one-bedroom apartments include private outdoor entrances and parking spaces.
Assisted Living I is appropriate for individuals who can move about and function but who need minimal personal care. We offer activities to engage each resident physically and mentally. Monthly apartment rental is offered, and no long-term lease is required.
Enhanced Living is an option for those with memory loss or who require personal care, medication administration, or assistance with ambulation. Our units are staffed 24/7, which includes a licensed nurse on site at all times. The facility is secured for the safety of residents suffering from memory loss or dementia. No long-term lease is required.
Our Skilled Nursing facility is designed for individuals who are unable to care for themselves and who require licensed nursing care. Person-centered nursing care is offered 24/7. Our Skilled Nursing facility is Medicare/Medicaid certified.
In September 2015, we opened a new, state-of- the-art Skilled Rehabilitation Center to enhance the therapy experience of our residents. Our typical patients are those who have been released from the hospital and who require several weeks of physical, occupational or speech therapy. These patients reside in our private luxury suites while undergoing daily therapy. Each patient receives a person-centered, customized treatment plan with the goal of helping that patient recover as quickly as possible.
Respite care is offered to individuals as a short-term place for them to stay so family members and caregivers can take time off. Respite care is available in both our Assisted Living I & II facilities.
