you've worked hard your whole life you've done all the right things and this is the next chapter this is a chapter about you this is a chapter about freedom there's no barriers everything is right there for me I'm involved in what I want to do there are so many interesting things to do here that the problem is how do you fit them all in I have an art class here that is my favorite thing we have watercolor we have excellent instructors and people who help us and we're learning something we're always learning favorite thing be myself and be myself presby has created this mansion and these grounds and the apartments to inspire us to give us vision of a future yes you can you can attend movies you can listen to entertainment you can exercise you can play games yes we go to the concert we go to poetry they have a poetry class here and your bridge here and their craft and all I got stuff you can find your niche it obviously the opportunity to do your own thing because all your other needs are met so efficiently I think for me it's the way you just see a lot of people around we know practically everybody here and everybody was so friendly it really made a big impression on me I think it's important to say hello to everybody as well and it can help somebody I think it's very important this is what's so special about Rosemont we are a family because everyone cares about each other I have made so many friends I have such security with the staff as well but I could call anybody in this building and they'd be there in a minute people that help us daily we know each other you couldn't ask for better companionship and people who care sometimes I see them take care of somebody who's older than I am and lovingly and I think oh that really is good I'll be there someday sometimes you get these messages that you ought to pay attention to and I did and I feel very blessed that I'm in that lovely apartment that's what I think this is a tranquil oasis there's there's a gentility about it there's a peacefulness about it people just feel happy here when I close that door I feel complete I feel this was the right decision for me good place to cook right good place yes definitely the freedom to be your best you [Music] you

[Music] president inspired life is unique in so many ways it's mission that speaks to providing exceptional services for older people without exception captures it's best to be exceptional is to know that I have exhausted every Avenue in order to get the job done we ought to be great every day but when you're exceptional you choose to make that step above great food to go further I want to be someone who stands out someone who makes a difference someone who is memorable being exceptional here is being able to provide individualized care it's not the same for the same person that's next to you I mean mouths email each I mean on the rehab unit we have patients that are in their 50s 70s 60s and we really try our best to make it individualized that's the press piece model is that we go and we do above and more everybody has that same mindset they have a hard service it's the people that work for pres B's and the ministry itself they have the heart for this ministry that care about older adults and that's really what makes pres be different I come here to make a difference in the people's lives and I say for their family as well as the resident I'm part of something bigger you know it's not just that we're serving older adults it's that we are serving a diverse group I was living with my mom and my brother and they both passed off one of the security that I wasn't alone by myself the place that I was living it was on that safe I found this place clean and peaceful it's quiet peaceful I haven't had to work for anything since I've been here it's been the best move I could have made [Music] I'm a very independent person after losing my husband I knew that this was what I needed to do and I had to make that known to my children that I wasn't running away from them this is just what I needed I was in a homeless shelter I go up to the Veterans Center up the street you know I've been going there for a while you know because I am a service veteran I just stopped in one day and asked for an application some months passed and lo and behold they called that was the day I swear I floated back to the facility that a big old grin on my face matter I think we all want this to be the best place that it can be and it takes the work of everybody it's about the people that live there and the fact that we can provide them very nice living accommodations no matter what their income level is and there's a heart for making sure that they're safe and making sure that they're cared for but a couple of Care program it's a unique program is a wonderful program where the residents will get a gift card and they are able to buy vegetables and fruits that they were never able to afford before the friendship fund is a fund that helps people who've outlived their finances we care about our neighbors and we're glad to reach out to our neighbors never knowing whether it might be us that needs it my doctor had suggested to me that I needed an adjustable bed somebody said you know well why don't you inquire about the compassionate care and I gave it into the office and I got money to put towards a bed which was fabulous so I hear about the program I can not tell you how grateful I feel when they send me that chicken I was able to pay whatever I need [Music] this is one big family it's people that make us comfortable we have some young people working in it's like having your grandchildren around so that you feel at home when people get here they want to be here they don't want to go anywhere else there's such a great need for senior affordable housing in our communities when I see a shovel going into the ground to build a housing unit for those who can't afford perhaps to stay in their neighborhoods and allow them an opportunity to stay part of the vibrant community that meant so much to them for so many years that excites me about the future seniors of this neighborhood have done so much for us and this is why they deserve to live comfortably and securely in their retirement I know the sense of community that exists and I'm glad that the folks who will have the chance to live here won't have to sacrifice that in their later years while we're engaged in a ribbon cutting for a dedication service I'm really impressed how presby engages the residents now they're part of that community and they engage them and you look at values of faith and integrity and honesty they're words that are important to us but they're words in action it also recognizes that we're making a significant investment that real investment of individuals in serving others but also that real investment of pres B's inspired life to make sure that it transforms and supports older people every day [Music] you
