well my life and I think a few years ago we realized we weren't getting any younger and that we were looking at retirement communities and we we lived in columbus mississippi which is close to Tuscaloosa Alabama and we had a friend over there and so we were seriously looking at that particular place and then my daughter lives in collierville says hey mom and dad that that's a long way for me to drive so I said well why don't you look for something in Memphis so she called me a few weeks later and she says I found the place I'd like to make an appointment for you to come up here and so we did that and so on that initial busy what happened is I came up here in a minute midshipman and he explained you know that but this Kirby pines was all about and so I asked him I said oh when I make a decision I kind of like to talk to the people who are here and I think they might make my decision and so my wife and I said we're going to spend two days here we're gonna do too much use and two dinners and we're just going to walk around and when we find a table that will hold two people we go sit down and chat with them and so the people were very friendly and they said sure sit down and we had decided on three questions that we were going to ask them number one how long have you been here number two do you like this place and contrary to saying like most of those folks said I love this place well then the next question was do you have any regrets and if you paraphrase it ever so slightly everyone I'm said the same thing we didn't move here soon enough and so that pretty much made up our mind that this is where we wanted to do and we actually sign the papers than the following day but it's so friendly it's easy to make friends here and i think the management here does a great job of taking care of everything around here it's a beautiful place it's just a nice place to live i think people I have talked to several friends and some people that were thinking about moving out here and I said well don't wait too long I said you remember that people who live here love this place that most of them safe we didn't move here soon enough and unfortunately there's people who put off that decision until it's too late

a year ago my two daughters meant to have the talk which means what are going to do with dead and so after they talk I said what did y'all decide said we you need to move out of this house well they've been in there for 26 years but they said you need to move out we're going to come back to this issue every six months well I had already known about Kirby pines and so I came out and visited with the advisors and walk through the information and it was not a matter of making a big decision it had already been made for me because my daughters were all for this they wanted me to be taken care of and another thing is that in the explanation of all of the good parts about Kirby Pines is the life plan so that be taken care of the rest of my life because I've lived here for 46 years and to have a daughter that lives in all the branch the other daughter lives in texas and i did not want to move to the houston area in Texas so and I have so many people that I've known through the years here so that was easy answer for me I heard again about Kirby pans to a number of members of the church we've been coming out here over 20 years conducting the service and eight o'clock on the second sunday of the month for some 20 years I believe that Kirby pads is better cause of the pricing of the buying and of the monthly fee that was suited for me I moved into curvy pines in October the ORR ditch name of the 18 2014 oh it's been very good because I didn't know I was going to have a major heart attack in January 2015 so I had that and then had a two-bedroom apartment so when I got to the hospital my son-in-law and daughter could kind of spend the night with me and then they will go to work so it worked out just fine for me and then to the real action happens in the dining room where you meet people visit with people to enjoy the fellowship of meals and sharing one of the reasons that I moved to Kirby pines was the life plan as I said so I didn't have to worry about what my daughters were going to do with me after we got out of the hospital if I needed to go to the nursing he was available need to go to rehab it was available it's we're free for me because I have a meal cook and I have the dishes washed I don't have to worry about anything I fix something in my apartment if I want to and yes for me it takes the pressure off of keeping the house and the lawn in the weeds and all of that kind of thing besides keeping the house clean I'm not much of a house cleaner and my daughter would come by and give the place a white glove treatment she said when was the last time you dust it I said probably the last time I you were here I knew you were coming and so it just works out fine for me don't worry about making the decision make your decision and then make it right
