Community size: Large (26-100)
Located in Richmond, Our Lady of Hope is a nonprofit, senior care community. Since 1995 we’ve served as a special place that embodies the definition and realization of “hope” for our residents. Hope is the “feeling that what is wanted can be had” or the “feeling that something desired may happen.” Our team of caring professionals is focused on the well-being of our residents by providing superior senior care services including assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and short term, skilled rehabilitation services. Everything we do is to create possibilities for renewed and continual personal growth. From the life enrichment programs, delicious cuisine, and friendly neighbors, to our caring team members, we are a community that inspires hope of the individual spirit.
Don’t let the little things hold you back from experiencing all of life’s possibilities.
Our Lady of Hope’s assisted living facilities, services and care provides our residents with the support they need to complete various daily living activities. These services can range from reminders to take medication on time to help with getting dressed or other personal tasks. Our care plan team will work with you to ensure that the appropriate services and support are in place so you can continue to experience all you want out of life.
Our personalized approach and continuum of assisted living care will allow you to stay at Our Lady of Hope if your needs should change. Our assisted living services are provided to you in your apartment. To help you get back on your feet after surgery or injury, skilled rehabilitation services are available also at Our Lady of Hope. We have an excellent team of therapists who are experienced with working with seniors to provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy on-site.
Our Lady of Hope’s Christopher Center provides sensitive, effective and person-specific memory care for residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementia care needs.
The Christopher Center includes two memory care pavilions, each featuring a bright atrium with a central area made up of a nurse’s station, sunroom, dining room, and activity room. Resident suites surround and expand out from these central areas. In order to provide familiarity and recognition, each suite features a Memory Box just outside the door that showcases a resident’s personal photos and mementos. In addition, all of the indoor spaces are lit in such a way as to create a calm ambiance and a secure courtyard allows residents to enjoy the outdoors whenever they like.
The Reflections Memory Care Program at Our Lady of Hope offers a fresh perspective on memory care. Specialized training, careful selection of caregivers, and a resident-focused approach are hallmarks of the Reflections program.
Employees using the Reflections program are required to complete an intensive 15-hour training course. This in-depth training—as well as individualized resident care plans, the specialized environment of the Christopher Center, and the Daily Fare activity schedule—is unique to the Reflections program.
Our team incorporates the most up-to-date therapeutic approaches as well as reminiscence, art, music, and pet therapies, and sensory stimulation into daily life. Our goal is to enhance resident engagement, provide opportunities for success based on current abilities, and to build positive relationships among residents, families, and caregivers.
Sometimes a little extra help is required after recuperating from surgery or recovering from a minor injury. Also, if you are caring for your loved one at home and you need a break, a respite visit for your loved one could be the answer. Families can rest easy knowing that short-term guest residents will receive the care and attention they need and deserve. Whether you need a short two-week stay or a more lengthy visit is desired, we are here. Private and shared guest-resident apartments are fully furnished with all the comforts of home.
