Welcome to King's Daughters Home, Inc.
We are a Level III Residential Care Facility for ladies, located in St. Albans City. Our approach to serve our residents is based on our commitment and interest to provide a quality lifestyle for each individual. Our staff have made it their honor to work at King's Daughters and approach each day with compassion, respect, enthusiasm, teamwork and a devotion to caring for others.
The residents at King's Daughters Home enjoy enrichment programs facilitated by our Activities Director, who carefully designs programs to help promote the social, spiritual and physical wellbeing of our residents and enhance residents lives while honoring their interests and individuality. In addition to regularly scheduled events on the calendar, the Activities Director has on on-going effort to partner with community groups, school groups, local businesses and other residential facilities to bring a variety of engaging experiences in to the ladies at King's Daughters.
Our Dietary Director prides herself on providing a great variety of quality meals, freshly baked breads and scrumptious desserts. She takes into consideration recipes that are past favorites of our residents, Vermont seasonal varieties, French-Canadian favorites and traditional American cuisine by using fresh ingredients and locally-grown products.
Upon arrival, each resident receives a detailed assessment of her needs by our Care Team and again if the resident has a significant change in condition. Once completed, a care-plan is developed to identify the level of care needed for activities of daily living, such as; mobility, bathing, dressing, and medication management. Our Care Team reviews the assessments with the resident or family members, as appropriate.
We understand placing a loved one in long-term care can be stressful and emotionally challenging. We recognize residential transition could be confusing or difficult. Please know we are here to provide guidance and support for you and your loved one. We trust your decision to become a member of this extended family will be a highly-supportive and positive experience.
