Activities at Heritage Heights
The residents of Heritage Heights love to get together and play bingo! It’s a good way to have fun and socialize at the same time. We normally plan bingo around special occasions or holidays, with prizes that fit the theme.
The residents love participating in baking activities. They have helped make everything from popcorn balls to cupcakes! We encourage residents to bring their favorite recipes to the table.
Every year we have our annual Halloween party. It’s always a fun time full of games, goodies, and great company. The residents enjoy helping with planning and making the party a success!
Heritage Heights has a “puzzle table” on each floor for people to work on. There is always a puzzle in the works and residents can participate as much as they please. Residents enjoy relaxing and visiting while working on the puzzles together.
A cozy room to sit by the fireplace and watch TV or enjoy a good book. This is a multi-purpose space where community meetings are held and various activities take place. Some residents like to just sit and take in the beautiful view of Lake Chelan.
The dining room is the heart of Heritage Heights, it is where the majority of socializing happens. Three delicious home-style meals are served each day. It was recently remodeled and the residents chose the décor and furnishings.
We have a hair stylist who comes in once a week and offers a variety of services to our residents. In addition, we offer a whirlpool Jacuzzi tub that is great for pain therapy. Residents can enjoy these amenities right here at home.
We’ve been lucky to have multiple wineries from the Chelan Valley come up to Heritage Heights and do a wine tasting. The residents really enjoyed getting to try the different varieties and learn how they are made.
Each year the Whaley’s General store puts up a “Giving Tree” for the residents of Heritage Heights. Staff members make a tag for each resident with gift ideas on the back. Anyone from the community can pick up a tag, buy the gifts, and return them to the store. On Christmas Eve, the gifts are delivered and everyone opens their presents together.
Every year in March the Top Dog parade happens in downtown Chelan. The residents love participating in the parade, and some even bring their dogs!
