The Horizon is an Assisted Living complex that offers seniors the chance to live as independently as possible, providing dinner daily. Additional assistance is available on a fee for service basis.
The Horizon has on-site staff from 8:00-4:30pm, 7 days a week, and a 24 hour call light service, that alerts Good Shepherd Home staff to any emergent problems after hours. Weekly vitals and monthly nursing assessments are provided. The Manager, who is a Licensed Practical Nurse, is on staff 5 days a week, and is available to attend local medical appointments with tenants upon request.
Laundry and mail services are also provided on site, along with guest room accommodations for visiting family. Various activities are scheduled daily, with Chapel Services offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Scheduled trips to neighboring communities and events and weekly transportation uptown are complimentary.
