The community at Westwind House is the perfect mix between the great amenities and resources of a large community, and the “small town” feel that encourages involvement and friendship among residents. This community is unique in that it is a one-story U-shaped community with 46 residents. Westwind House offers a secure, healthy, and intimate environment where family members of all ages are welcome. All visitors and residents are invited to participate in everyday activities.

Westwind House is in the Northwest Albuquerque neighborhood of Albuquerque, with easy access via I-40. Our central location makes it easy for family to visit, and for our residents to enjoy trips to nearby shopping and restaurants. Residents can also access nearby parks and grocery stores on foot, and next door is Los Volcanos Senior Center with a gym. This gives our residents many options for additional activities outside of the community, but still within easy reach of home.

One of the greatest challenges of aging is coping with the shift when an older adult can no longer safely live alone. Assisted living is an important step in this process, as it serves seniors who can no longer live alone, but don’t necessarily need round-the-clock care, or to be in a nursing-home setting.
