Golden Coast Senior Living Inc. Operates residential Care facilities for Seniors who are no longer able to be cared for at home or need more care then maybe assisted living can provide or perhaps the senior is being discharge from a hospital or skilled nursing home. The facilities (homes) are located in Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, Lake Forest and Fountain Valley. Each home is licensed to accomadate six residents, each home is further approved to provide care for residents diagnosed with dementia and also residents that may need Hospice Services. We like to think of Golden Coast Senior Living as mini assisted living homes that care for seniors that need help with ADL's, Medication Management and Supervision along with other needs.

We understand that finding the right home can be a difficult decision to make. Golden Coast Senior Living offers a specially designed program, which begins with a comprehensive pre-placement assessment, which is completed at the residents home, hospital or skilled nursing facility. Then, based on the assessment, a care plan is developed prior to admission in order to meet each individual’s specific care needs. In order for your loved one to have a smooth transition to our facilities, we ask for information regarding their personality, food likes, dislikes, sleeping schedules, favorite pastimes, activities, hobbies, family dynamics, and any other factors that have influenced their life up until this crucial point. This information is then carefully recorded and incorporated into their care plan. We provide a high level of medical supervision and continuously monitor and oversee the care of each resident in an environment that is designed to meet both physical and emotional needs. Resident Care and Services including are:

• Assistance with bathing – Our staff provide assistance with bathing, meaning showering the resident. Daily showers are encouraged, as this gives the staff an opportunity to check the residents skin and report any thing that is out of the ordinary.
• Assistance with Dressing and grooming. Our Staff assist with choosing the appropriate clothing, some residents prefer comfortable sweats and others like to get dressed in pants, shirts, dresses etc. Grooming meaning shaving for our males, applying lotions, makeup, lipstick and so forth.
• Assistance with ADLS – Activities of daily living are basic self-care tasks. They include feeding, toileting, selecting proper attire to wear, putting on clothes, bathing, walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair. Assisting with the telephone and other communication devices.
• Meals and snacks- special diets as ordered by the Dr. Meaning no sugar added, low sodium, pureed diet, thickened liquid diets.
• Encouragement with activities – Staff encourage residents to participate in activities
• Assistance with medication administration – Golden Coast Senior Living is able to have a local pharmacy bubble pack resident medications and have them delivered monthly to the facility. The Staff receive medication management training and are able to assist residents with their medications. All medications are centrally stored and kept locked away. Any medications including over the counter medications must be prescribed by a MD. The staff record on the medication management log the medications given.
• Laundry- Resident laundry is done at the facility, residents can help with folding the clothing.
• Supervision – Each facility is staffed with two staff, the staff reside at the facility, reliever staff rotate to provide days off for the full- time staff.
