a continuing care retirement community often called a CCRC is actually a community that serves older adults and the beauty of a CCRC is that they're all levels of care and service offered there and when I say all levels of care and service we have retirement living which is independent living assisted living memory support long-term care as well as skilled nursing you enjoyed this maintenance-free lifestyle with many services and amenities while you're still young and vibrant and joy life and then you have the guarantee of those higher levels of care you don't have to move again I'm often asked what it feels like to have moved and what's what's different what's the same that I saved you know my life outside of here has not changed any I'm still involved in the same kinds of activities I was involved before I left what I have found is is just a a social outreach for whatever reason I think folks have reached out much more than I anticipated they would I fear just kind of being isolated in a in an area and that has not been the case it was not the old folks home if you will and I think that's what it kept me a little bit of distance but it's it's a challenging group of people intellectually curious physically active and emotionally outreaching and so it's been good for me I think part of the blessings of being here with other residents is the fact that everybody is about the same age everybody is that moved into a retirement community so you have that in common it's those people that we hire that have a real passion and love for the older adults that we serve the favorite part of living here anyway is having someone to eat dinner with had not to have to fix dinner the food is wonderful here and that's something we have really appreciated a lot of gourmet meals as far as we're concerned and somebody's cooking forward Christian living communities you will find is a very difference I think you'll find from the minute you walk through our doors a warmth about our community we have so much to offer in terms of life enrichment and providing a purpose build life for our residents more than anything there's an opportunity to continue to grow and make wonderful friendships
