We offer several levels of care within our assisted living community. Each is tailored to the specific needs of our residents.
Traditional Assisted Living is a great option for those who are looking to get involved in social activities or enjoy quiet time in their apartment knowing they will receive a full complement of amenities and assistance with ADLs (activities of daily living) to maximize their independence.
Intensive Assisted Living residents receive increased care support due to a functional decline at a cost less than skilled nursing. Residents enjoy the comforts of “home” without interruption while care needs are still met.
Amenities of Assisted Living include:
- Three home-made meals each day plus snacks and beverages.
- A wide variety of programs to choose from including lecture series, art classes, book clubs, wellness and exercise classes and intergenerational program.
- Weekly outings to points of interest and cultural events, shopping trips and other scheduled transportation including medical appointments.
- Assistance, as needed, with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and ambulation.
- Medication management and administration.

If a resident’s needs are assessed as beyond the services we provide in the Assisted Living Plan, our licensed, on-site Health Care Center is available with private and semi-private rooms for long-term skilled nursing care, and is Medicare/Medicaid certified. We provide long-term health care based on a philosophy that seeks to enhance quality-of-life and independence. Our staff of registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, and dieticians develop a personalized care plan for each resident under the supervision of a board-certified physician with a specialty in geriatrics. The life enrichment team provides programs appropriate to individual needs and preferences.
Our highly rated, Medicare-licensed skilled nursing care center offers private and deluxe semi-private rooms in our comfortable and quiet community for short-term rehabilitation. Residents can enjoy all the amenities at Forest Hills including our life enrichment programs, entertainment, and beautifully landscaped outdoor areas. Meals in the Health Care Center are served in state-of-the-art dining rooms that rival high-end restaurant environments.
Our full-time therapists offer high quality physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services in a spacious rehab gym. Functional recovery is accomplished through the use of a wide range of equipment and a simulated apartment that is an extension of the gym. This apartment includes a full kitchen and a bathroom with a bathtub so therapists can replicate typical home environments and tasks in preparation for the resident’s discharge home. The rehab gym also includes all the standard exercise equipment found in most commercial fitness centers.
