Evenglow is a Continuing Care Retirement Community that is located in the heart of downtown Pontiac, Illinois. Evenglow is a non-profit, faith-based organization that has a mission to “Offer a continuum of retirement choices and services in a Christian environment.” Not having to focus our efforts on the interests of investor’s means we are able to shape Evenglow’s experience around the residents’ needs and preferences. It enables us to focus on maintaining our high standards and strong values, reinvesting profits in the community for the benefit of residents.
Evenglow offers a wide range of living environments and arrangements to accommodate your needs. Evenglow has three different buildings that represent different levels of care. Evenglow Lodge is our seven story building that houses our Independent and Assisted living, Evenglow Inn is our Memory Care facility and Tjardes Health Center is our rehabilitation and skilled nursing unit.
The Evenglow Inn Adult Day Services enables seniors to continue to live at home rather than permanently move to alternative setting. These services can also be an answered prayer for caregivers who may need some temporary relief from the responsibility of looking after a loved one. Our Adult Day Service provides a safe, home like environment for your loved one to stay.
Evenglow Inn is our memory care facility. Memory care at Evenglow Inn provides the dignity, comfort, and quality of life you want for your loved one. Our community enhances the lives of those afflicted with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of memory loss. At Evenglow Inn, we focus on each individual, reducing anxiety and stress. Evenglow Inn staff members, known as Universal Care Givers, conform to the residents schedules, not vice versa.
Evenglow Inn is a warm home like setting in a safe and secure environment. The Inn features 26 private rooms furnished with personal belongings and sensitive attention to lighting and sound minimizing confusion and anxiety. Each room feature an attached private bathroom.
Evenglow Inn's activity program provides an environment that has meaningful stimulation and support, allowing a resident the opportunity to maintain their dignity and live life to the fullest.
SilverSneakers is a program encouraging older adults to participate in physical activities that will help them to maintain greater control of their health. It sponsors activities and social events designed to keep seniors healthy while encouraging social interaction.
Support groups bring together people facing similar issues, whether that’s illness, relationship problems or major life changes. Members of support groups often share experiences and advice. It can be helpful just getting to talk with other people who are in the same situation. While not everyone wants or needs support beyond that offered by family and friends, you may find it helpful to turn to others outside your immediate circle. A support group can help you cope better and feel less isolated as you make connections with others facing similar challenges. C
