Florence & Chafetz Home for Specialized Care

Overlooking Boston on the historical grounds of Admirals Hill in Chelsea, Florence & Chafetz caters to individuals with increased cognitive and physical limitations such as Alzheimer’s and dementia. Our staff is highly trained to care individuals in need of memory care. One unique advantage of this residence is that our caregivers have extremely long tenure with the organization. As a result, there is little staff turnover, which is very reassuring to residents and families. The personalized support services enable residents to live in a safe environment while still maintaining a level of independence. Additionally, residents establish bonds with both our staff and other residents, creating special friendships that truly enhance the quality of life.

Seniors with increased cognitive and physical limitations can benefit dramatically from memory care programs, individualized services and architectural design elements. Specially designed secure residences combine all the comforts of home with customized care. The spaces are designed to avoid overstimulation, creating an atmosphere of comfort and familiarity for the residents.

Traditional assisted living provides assistance with daily activities such as medication management, bathing and dressing, but with minimal supervision. Memory support residences cater to individuals living with such cognitive disabilities as Alzheimer’s and dementia. The personalized support services of both types of assisted livings enable residents to live in a safe environment while still maintaining a level of independence. Safety is paramount. For memory support residents, our highly skilled staff helps with managing cognitive issues as well as providing sensory stimulation and activities designed to nurture and engage.

Apartments and Services
36 spacious studio-style apartments with private bath, divided into three separate homes with 12 apartments each. Weekly housekeeping and linen service, daily assistance with such activities as dressing, bathing, medication management and dietary plans.

Community Space Amenities
Three meals a day prepared by a trained culinary chef and served in a private dining room with large bay windows. Residence also features comfortable open living room in each home, with access to café, beauty salon and library.
