Green Country Care Center is centered around providing the best care for individual needs. An individual with Alzheimer’s or other dementias may require one or more of the following services:

• Respite Care
• Residential Care
• Hospice

Green Country Care Center is one of only three nursing centers in the state of Oklahoma licensed as a specialized facility for Alzheimer’s care.

Our community is designed to provide excellent, personalized care while maintaining the highest standards for patient safety. Our facilities are set up to be comfortable, with secure entrances and exits. We aim to create an environment that encourages interaction and independence, overseen by our caring and specialized staff members.

Skilled Nursing is a recovery solution for individuals who are not doing well enough to go home after hospitalization. It is also a solution for families who have a loved one that needs more time to heal after surgery or hospitalization but no one to provide needed support in their home. The goal is to use nursing, physician support and therapy to improve the patien’ts ability to function independently so he or she can go back to thriving at home.

As a general example, a knee or hip surgery patient is generally seen by Physical and Occupational Therapy 5 to 7 days a week. Treatment times average 50 minutes per discipline based on the resident’s tolerance level and physician need.Treatments include intervals of lower extremity exercises and all mobility activities as well as activities of daily living retraining and pain management. For hip patients, this includes training facility staff on weight bearing tolerance and safety precautions for each individual patient.

Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy are provided by licensed professionals on staff. Orders vary dependent upon specific physician requests. The nursing department works in cooperation with the therapy department to integrate the goals of therapy with the patient’s clinical goals to maximize safety and progress of the patient.

In addition to 24-hour nursing, Long Term Care patients at Green Country Care Center also have access to therapy and rehabilitiation services,physician care, pharmacy and dietary consultation.

Pharmacy and Dietary consultants review patient information to look for complications that could be caused by medication interactions or improper diet for a diagnosed condition.

Families will want to choose an environment where the patient will enjoy staff, activities and feel comfortable. Similar to hospital care, appointed physicians at Green Country Care Center check on elders during a stay.

Wit and wisdom are some of our elders most valuable traits, but their health situations can become complex in spite of their knowledge on life. Having facility care means having several professionals to notice health changes and behaviors that can indicate needs or disease changes.
