I'm more addicted and I just completed my freshman year in this building I should tell you I've always always as a child wanted to live in a penthouse and I'm now living in a penthouse the living situation is is really quite superior it's exactly like living in a neighborhood except you have this great structure something happens to you there's a health department that helps to look after you and a lot of people will take the trouble to make sure you're okay it's an attractive place and this particular one goes out of its way to upgrade to paint to put up pictures there is interestingly enough always something to do in this place I like the swimming pool I swim almost every day mealtimes of fun I meet people for lunch is an evening concert and evening theater it's located right next to 26 buses and I can be in portland in downtown Portland in less than 15 minutes the real problem is what to do first what to leave for next week what not to bother with I like people and I'd like to connect with people I like to talk to them it's what I did professionally fears I still like to do it to be social you just walk out of the apartment and there are 250 people to talk with they're not all available reticulate that moment but if you know where to find them their hair I'm having a great life here

my name is Ron wesner 72 years old a sort of retired international tour director this past winter was the first time I had gone on a major three-month personal trip for more than 10 years during that trip I got an email from the plaza telling me that this apartment had opened up do I want it so I wrote back immediately and I said yes when I came home I sold my house and moved in here the plaza is one of the most highly esteemed retirement communities in America and so it's a secure place and extremely well run the location cannot be better it's within two blocks of max which is our light rail system in Portland we're across the street from lloyd center and we're also across the street from a large cinema plus it's my neighborhood I've lived in this neighborhood since the 60s so it's a neighborhood that I'm very familiar with I am able to enjoy everything that I have been enjoying before I've moved in and I have even more time to enjoy those things because I no longer am spending two hours every morning weeding the garden the number one word that comes to my mind is liberated free to go as I wish free to engage with all of the things that I like doing everything from going out to a movie to tomorrow I'm getting on a plane heading to the bay area for a few days going out the door and locking it and walking away the reason that I chose a continuing care retirement community is that when I do need that help and that care it will be here but that's i hope i expect the long way off from I am now I sleep very well because honestly my worry level is very very low

my name is Nancy Jones and I live here at Holiday Park Plaza I've been here for four years I kid when people say where you live i said i living old folks home but we are a far cry from an old folks home this is what 78 looks like if you live a holiday park plaza but i think part of that is because i am content i have a very very full life but i also have made a big effort being new to Portland to get out get involved this is really a quality of life that is unbelievable my life here is rich because everything is taken care of I can take off and close one door and I'm gof the reasons I moved in to Holiday Park Plaza is because they had this wonderful pool it's so convenient it's an elevator commuter way it's a great way to wake up we have classes that you can participate in yoga wonderful for stretching the thing I like most about holiday park is the balance between never having to be alone and completely being alone if I want to be I'm very gregarious and I like being with people but i also like my alone times so I enjoy my balcony where I can sit on my shades and read there are so many interesting people here at Holiday Park have lived in various parts of the world have traveled have done exciting things in their professional life and their home life and I've enjoyed getting to know them
