hello and welcome to samia's retirement community my name is Christine and George and I'm the director of marketing today I'd like to introduce you to Bob brinser and show you some of the wonderful work that he's done here at st. Ann's my name is Bob renser I'm a local person I live in baytown to about 20 minutes away from here and one of the things we try to do here at st. Ann's is to make it look less institutional and more like a person's home so the residents really interacted with me quite a bit as I was painting the murals whether it was the locations of covered bridges or vehicles or cars that they drove we tried to do things that they could relate to Lancaster County themes just like the horse and buggy and one lady said that looked like a country road where she used to live we try to do all sorts of themes but they do interact with me and I got all sorts of wonderful stories everyone seems to have a story and sometimes I end up talking more than I paint it's more than just a painting and walking away from it I bond with the people particularly the people in the rooms across from where I'm working at because might be working a week or two on a mural so I get to visit with the people I get to learn their names we're normally I wouldn't do that and bus get to know the people that can visit them that's great you
