Chandler Estate is a lovely assisted living community in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. It is within charming Northampton County which is part of the Keystone State.
The Chandler Estate is not a nursing home, but a Personal Care Home. “Chandler” proves a wide range of customized living arrangements and care to all of our residents. Our mission is to make residents and tenants feel at home. We offer independent living for seniors in our cozy cottages and garden apartments; in addition to personal care suites and rooms for comfortable senior living.
Independent living offers seniors a place to live such as an apartment which allows them to live on their 'own' while being in a community with others. The community offers amenities, activities, and other services that make it easier for seniors to live an independent lifestyle. This type of retirement living is for those that are still capable or taking care of their own needs with little to no help.
Personal Care consists of licensed, personal care accommodations in private rooms, semi-private rooms and suites. It is located on 25 acres of beautiful residential land with maintained grounds which provide for a relaxing and quiet living environment. We offer personal care services, respite stays and non-medical stays.
Personal care can be based on a physician’s determination. Some senior adults desire independence, with assistance in some areas of everyday living, such as bathing, medication reminders, food preparation, cleaning or other assisted living services. In other situations, families may need to make the decision for a Personal Care Home, to protect the health and safety of their loved ones.
Our staff provides personal care services designed to address the social, physical and spiritual needs of each resident. The need for personal care can be recommended by a physician or you may just recognize that some assistance is necessary for bathing, medication reminders, food preparations, cleaning, etc.
A respite stay is a temporary stay that is no more than 30 consecutive days. They are short term or temporary stays that provide families or caregivers a break for vacations, illness of a caregiver or an emergency situation. This option is also used after a hospital stay for strengthening prior to returning home. (We do require a four day stay). A respite stay is charged at a daily rate depending on the current rates for cares in the facility.
