Attic Angel Association is a not-for-profit, independent organization of volunteers who improve the quality of life within Dane County. Members meet health and human service needs through volunteer and financial support with special concern for children and the elderly. A major focus is Attic Angel Community which provides living and health care options for older adults.
Attic Angel Community is full of opportunity and independence while offering the safety net of a complete continuum of care to serve changing health needs. Experience the One and Only Attic Angel!
Our welcoming health community at Attic Angel Place and our beautiful Prairie Point neighborhood for independent living make up our lively community of 300 seniors who are served by 300 staff and 500 volunteer “Angels.” Our entire community provides a smoke-free environment for the health and benefit of everyone.
Magic happens when you enjoy life! The hub of activity for the whole community is Attic Angel Place. This is where a majority of our residents live and where most of our programs and activities take place.
Here, our residents have access to four levels of care (explore the options below), providing a safety net of both comfort and security for residents. In addition, our Health Center accommodates the short-term stays of hospital patients transitioning to living at home again. We can also provide respite care for short-time living needs and/or relief of home caregivers.
Our entire community supports a healthy, smoke-free lifestyle for the benefit of everyone. In addition, residents of our Apartments with Services (the most independent level of living at Attic Angel Place) may enjoy pet companions in their homes as part of a happy retirement lifestyle here.
Art Studio is well-equipped with a kiln for firing ceramics and glass, looms for weaving textiles and many other resources for pursuing individual projects or group classwork.
Wellness Center hosts an array of classes for exercise, balance, movement and relaxation. Fitness Center offers a variety of exercise equipment to meet individual needs, including a NuStep, treadmill, recumbent bike and elliptical trainer.
Libraries within Attic Angel Place include a permanent collection, a rotation of books from the Madison Public Library system and daily newspapers and various periodicals. Outside the facility, several Free Little Libraries offer friendly ways to share good reads in our Prairie Point neighborhood and just outside Attic Angel Place.
Computer areas feature a computer with high-speed internet and a copy machine for resident use. WiFi is available throughout the building.
We are proud to say that our Attic Angel meals and service are among our top-rated experiences while also meeting the specific dietary needs of older adults.
Residents enjoy well-balanced, home-cooked meals that combine flavorful and healthful ingredients with the nutrition they need. Each menu is thoughtfully orchestrated to best incorporate fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, and our dietitian and nutritional care coordinator work together to ensure that each resident’s dietary needs are met.
Our nursing services come with what we call “the Attic Angel touch” – a high quality of care and a family-like level of comfort and caring. It comes from a rich and experienced tradition of commitment to the long-term care needs of seniors.
