The Sabb Residence

The Sabb Residence is a nice assisted living community in Lowell, Massachusetts. It is within fantastic Middlesex County which is part of the Bay State.

The Saab Residence is an Assisted Living and Memory Care residence that expands D’Youville Life & Wellness Community’s continuum of care for seniors in our region.

This thoughtfully and beautifully designed facility contains 60 apartments that allow residents to enjoy the privacy of their own home within a caring, compassionate, and service-rich setting. It is situated on our 75-acre campus featuring landscaped gardens and natural woodlands, while offering easy access to and from Greater Lowell and the surrounding area.

The Saab Residence is unique in its provision of 30 apartments of traditional Assisted Living for low and moderate income individuals, subsidized by D’Youville, and 15 market-rate traditional Assisted Living apartments.  The Memory Care Assisted Living area features 15 market-rate apartments.

The traditional Assisted Living component of The Saab Residence complements our continuum of care by offering services to seniors of all income levels who require assistance with Activities of Daily Living, but who are still able to live independently.  Our Memory Care Assisted Living neighborhood provides a cozy, home-like atmosphere that offers many amenities, services and features that are tailored for those who need assistance with the early onset of memory loss.

Our monthly fee includes apartment rental, utilities, full dining services, common gathering areas, scheduled daily activities, assistance with Activities of Daily Living, medication management, 24-hour on-site awake staff, a walking garden and much more.  Our Memory Care Assisted Living also includes limited medication management, a safe, secure garden area with a raised flower bed and walking paths.

Our amenities and services reflect our philosophy of care, allowing residents to maintain the independence and dignity they cherish, while ensuring they live in a safe and comfortable environment. Among these are:

Should a resident’s medical situation change, they may have access to D’Youville’s continuum of care that includes short- and long-term rehabilitation, adult day health, and long-term skilled nursing care, subject to bed availability and insurance approvals. Also, should an individual living in a market rate apartment find their financial support decreases, they may qualify to remain in their same apartment with a subsidy provided by D’Youville.
