Land of Peace is a charming assisted living community in West Hills, California. It is within appealing Los Angeles County which is part of the Golden State.

Land of Peace provides board & care for the elderly in Southern California. We are licensed by the Department of Social Services and are nestled in a quiet neighborhood of West Hills, California. Additionally, we are within walking distance to a park, senior recreation center, movie theaters, and shops.

Our seniors include elderly men and women that are 60 years old or over who are fragile or in need of supervision and guidance.

Land of Peace is licensed by the State of California as a residential care facility for the elderly. We provide care in a home-like environment. for the elderly who are in need of 24-hour assistance in a nice, comfortable, healthy, and happy environment.

Our homes are beautifully decorated and have both private and semi-private rooms. Each home has private bathrooms and is wheelchair-accessible. Each house has a large backyard, with lush landscaping, walking path, benches and barbecue area. Our meals are prepared to suit our resident’s dietary needs and are kosher.

Our caregivers are trained on a regular basis on elderly issues including dementia care. Each home has two to three caregivers (24/7) depending upon the need of each resident so they may get as much attention and care as necessary.

The daily routine starts with bathing, dressing, and a good healthy breakfast. Walking and exercise is a necessary part of every morning. Activities include current events discussion, bingo, playing cards, domino, arts and crafts class, music, live entertainment, birthdays, and holiday parties.

Our goal is to provide our residents with a quality lifestyle. Land of Peace programs are tailored to meet this goal.

We provide a number of services in our assisted living, board & care, and retirement homes, including:

• Assistance in personal care.
• Personal touch with seniors through periods of anxiety, depression, pain, and discomfort.
• Communication with doctors and families to ensure the well-being of the residents.
• Assistance in self-administration of prescribed medications.
• Open door policy: any family member can visit and participate in any function at any time of the day.
• Nutritional kosher-style meals prepared and nutritious snacks served daily.
• Special dietary needs are accommodated.
• Planned daily educational activities that include arts and crafts, exercise, walks, games, and conversation.
• Transportation to all medical appointments.
• Housekeeping and laundry services.
• Professional in-house services provided by physicians, podiatrists, optometrists, psychiatrists, dental hygienists, licensed beauticians.
• Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease services
• Dementia care services
• Hospice care services

We also offer on-site hair care and nails as an optional service. Doctor’s appointments are scheduled on a regular basis, including transportation with a handicap van for ambulatory and non-ambulatory resident convenience. Medications are refilled and administered to the residents according to the doctor’s instructions.

The level of care for the residents determines the assistance needed on a daily basis, whether they need around the clock care or not. We are experienced in caring for people recovering from a stroke, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, or those residents diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia-related disorders.
