The Scandinavian Living Center (SLC) in Newton, Massachusetts is a nonprofit assisted living center taking an inspired approach to elder care. By adopting core Scandinavian principles, we have created a senior living community where individuals from all cultures and backgrounds can lead connected, fulfilling lives.

We are committed to empowering elders by respecting their individual needs and providing exceptional care and support. Our dedicated, long-tenured staff members take the time to get to know every resident.

The SLC offers a comfortable, light-filled environment, designed in the Scandinavian architectural style. With only forty apartments, our assisted living center provides an intimate, family-like atmosphere that is hard to replicate in larger facilities. Over fifty percent of our space is dedicated to common area, including a fully equipped fitness center and a recently renovated dining room and café. These areas encourage connections between our residents and the broader community.

Our residents come from the Greater Boston area including Allston, Brighton, Brookline, Cambridge, Chestnut Hill, Newton, Waltham, Wellesley, Watertown, and other area towns.
