As an integral part of our parent organization, Presbyterian Communities and Services, our mission at Presbyterian Village North has been, since 1980, to enrich the lives of those we serve by providing exceptional care and services in a faith-based environment.
This means becoming the best in every service category we enter, and doing so as a not-for-profit ministry. For us, the right moral decision is the right business decision. We have a passion for excellence, and for serving the people of Dallas. Presbyterian Village North strives each day to extend exceptional, life-enriching care to all those we serve.
And we offer something more. The sense of community here runs deep. For those who choose to make The Village their home, it’s life-changing. Sharing this time together in a lovely neighborhood set on 66 wooded acres feels like living in a beautiful, green refuge from the city. And our culture of wellness helps residents enjoy it all even more.

hello my name is key I've been the director of rehab here for about seven years now and we've put in our hydro works 3500 series pool around three years ago and it's just been a tremendous boom to our campus in population we started to think about it we wanted a product that was going to match the quality of the space we're going to put it in and so this just offers so much more benefits than just your traditional gunite pool having the treadmill having the cameras the massage jet has just been tremendously beneficial as well we used to treadmill primarily with every one of our residents in conjunction with the camera system having that camera for the therapist provides a great opportunity to give the patient's biofeedback helping them get that correct hand and foot placements with each step but we've also realizes our residents like to watch themselves walking so all of a sudden they're looking up tall they're standing their posture opens up so they can see the camera and so not only are we able to give them the cues and see their fee they are also actively engaged in that process and so that's one of the best things for us is people just seeing themselves walk we put a lot of orthopedic patients in here and to get them walking and moving quicker than we can on land when you picture them hopping on one foot and the parallel bars versus walking with the normal cadence in here my name is Godwin Dixon and I'm the president CEO of Presbyterian communities and services the aquatic program has been a game changer for us it allowed us to more than double our rehab numbers when we start this out we were we already had a wonderful rehab program we had in-house therapists we are already known for exceptional care and services but we were losing patience to a provider that had quite a small pool we thought we had the potential to take that to a whole another level typically when we're doing something like this we try to use fundraising we try to raise fundraising dollars we recognize that the time that took us to fundraise we would lose out on too much business it made a business census just to pay for this and move forward we were bouncing around in the low 20s on Medicare sentences before we put this in and almost immediately doubled into the 40 so I would say the demand has been much greater than we forecast I thought we were putting in a really good intervention it's one tool what it really did is it showed our our Greater Dallas community the therapist that we were investing in their them and so the quality of therapist that we could you know a track to our campus and community has been better the patient mixes a better patient mix again a lot of people make the decision to come here not because I know mom's going to need it mom and dad might need it and if they do we know they have it there the the marketing benefit of a strong rehab program is huge because you bring so many people to your campus who otherwise wouldn't come a good rehab program will fill your assisted living in your independent living as well and it's been a real pause from that the pools impact has been several fold from a quality standpoint it's greatly improved our ability to serve patients we can serve a much wider array of patients we get patients at Notre facility can take because of the abilities from a financial impact it's been huge it has dramatically increased the number of patients that we do serve we've become a preferred provider of many of our hospital systems because of this cool we've grown exponentially since putting it in not just because the patients win that way get in the water but just the again the quality of the program one of the things that I often say is the right moral decision is often the right business decision even if it's not we're going to do what's morally right this has been one definitely been the right moral decision we've helped people get their lives back again and it has been the right business decision as well it's been huge for us
